Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as alternative, folk rock but also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. She is widely considered to be a feminist icon. Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement being one of the first musicians to launch her own label 1990. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
