Pickler who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, experienced a difficult childhood. For the sake of leaving an abusive partner, Pickler's mother resigned when she was barely 2 years older. Then, in 1995, she re-entered back to the world of Pickler, and took custody. However, things didn't work out the way she had hoped. At the age of 12, the court gave back Pickler to her grandparents who took care of her until she reached adulthood. Pickler was required to care of her children without parents. In absence of both parents Pickler was too busy to attend school. Instead she started to teach herself how to care for her family at an earlier age. Pickler was a member of the teams for cheerleading in both high school and middle-school. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004, was her alma mater. Pickler has also been a beauty pageant contestant. She once held the title of Miss Stanly county. Her modeling career began in the early years of her life and in 1984 she made her acting debut in the movie Once Upon a Time in America. She's appeared in films like the horror movie Phenomena and the musical fantasy Labyrinth along with romantic comedies like Career Opportunities and The Rocketeer.
